Brazil - Immigration Visas - Retired PeopleThe Resolution nr. 45 (PDF file - in Portuguese only) established the conditions for a retired foreigner to obtain a permanent visa. Besides other formalities, the essential point is that the applicant must be capable to send US$2000 per month to Brazil; if the applicant has more than two dependents (who must be family members), then an extra US$1000 per dependent must be sent in.
