Brazilian banks to change opening hours

During the Cup, many Brazilians change their routines to watch the matches of Brazil; this includes not only businesses, but also public service, schools, universities, etc.

The banks were the first ones to officially announce a change in shift:
  • when Brazil plays at noon (Brasilia time), banks in the capitals will open from 8:30 am to 11:30am and from 2:30pm to 4pm; banks in the interior cities will open open from 8:30am to 11:30 am and from 2:30pm to 3:30 pm
  • when Brazil plays at 3pm (Brasilia time), all banks will open from 9:30am to 2:30pm.

Of course, shifts must be adjusted to take into account the time zones (continental Brazil has three different time zones).
