Italy in the Euro Cup 2012
Italy finished second in the Eurocup 2012; Spain was champion, after beating the Italians in the final match by 4 x 0.
The draw put Italy in a tough group (facing Spain in the first match); the Italians had a streak of difficult games to reach the final.
Italy qualified to the World Cup 2010 by easily winning the group composed by Italy, Republic of Ireland, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Cyprus and Georgia.
